Pentra Can full can inspection system is an economical inspection unit, which can be installed behind the filling machine or pasteurizer. Pentra Can applies X-ray technology for fill level measurement and uses sensors to detect cans without sealed lids. An optional separate can wall inspection module is available to accommodate slim can formats.

The dimensions of the Pentra unit are 778x620x1571mm (length × width × height). Its ultra-compact frame design greatly saves installation space on the production line. Meanwhile, it supports high-speed mass inspection with a maximum throughput of 72,000 bottles per hour, perfectly matching the fast operation rhythm of medium and large filling lines and ensuring highly synchronized inspection and production efficiency.
If inspection of bottom can codes or other extra functions are required, please select other modular full-can inspection systems.
Low fill level
No cap
X‑ray technology is used to check the fill level of filled containers. X‑ray photons are attenuated when passing through empty headspace or liquid, causing changes in the X‑ray signal received by the detector. The universal inspection software platform XispVision® evaluates these signal variations and rejects products with out‑of‑spec fill levels. It is especially suitable for opaque packaging where manual visual inspection is impossible.
This module generates X‑rays via ionizing emission rather than conventional radioactive sources, so there is no risk of radioactive contamination to personnel or the environment.
